Marc Kramer is a proven investor and business partner. He has more than 20 years of private equity experience, most recently as a partner at H.I.G. Capital, a leading global private equity investment firm with over $10 billion of capital under management. At H.I.G., Marc focused on providing capital to middle-market enterprises valued between $200 million to $500 million. Prior to H.I.G., Marc led Fenway Partners ($2 billion under management) practice in the transportation/logistics sector where he invested in over 20 companies. Marc’s experience has given him a thorough appreciation of how institutions approach capital deployment and portfolio oversight in the business services, logistics and industrial sectors. Over the course of his career, Marc has built an expansive professional network, one that has been–and continues to be–instrumental in accelerating the growth of small to mid-size companies. In addition to the corporate boards upon which Marc sits, he founded the Open Road Foundation, a charitable organization providing victim’s assistance and scholarship opportunities. Marc is also a Trustee for the French-American School of New York. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA from Dartmouth College. Marc lives in New York, NY and enjoys spending time with family, cooking and boating.

Chris Munro is a proud native Scotsman with an international family, who has had great fortune to live and work in 5 continents over the last 25 years.

He is developed deep experiences in leading and investing in public, private and private equity service and manufacturing businesses ranging between $65m and $6.5bn. He is a strategically orientated global Chairman, board member, CEO and over the last decade a private equity investment partner. Prior to AVC Partners, shareholder value creation has been delivered across the UK, Western Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas with Exel/DHL, Inoveris, Linfox, Fenway Partners. He has enjoyed adding value to high performing boards with Exel/DHL, Linfox (Asia), Inoveris, Surya Carpets, Team One, Beavex and a currently rapidly emerging San Francisco CRM start up Lanetix.

In prior years he earned a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Glasgow and an Executive MBA from the London Business School On a personal basis he is a long time member of YPO and WPO, and currently serves as the Networking Chair for its Global Deal Network. Munro lives in Florida enjoying time with his family, travelling, golfing and riding CanAm motorbikes.

Steve-K.Steve Keaveney has supported recent AVC transactions as an Operating Partner. he has over 30 years of experience in building businesses. His experience includes working as a Founder/CEO/CFO for high-growth, rapidly changing organizations backed by private equity. He has worked in various industries, including energy, business services telecommunications, logistics, and eCommerce.

Steve specializes in restructuring, cost optimization, identifying and optimizing key value drivers, improving financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, changing IT strategy, building teams, and general management.

Steve has been involved in over 100 M&A transactions and in raising circa $1BN of capital for growing businesses.

He received an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University and a BA in Accounting from Villanova University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and started his career as an auditor with Deloitte in New York City.

James Kennedy is a Principal of AVC Partners, focusing on new portfolio company investments and also serving an operating role within the portfolio companies.  He is currently acting CFO in 1845 in Texas.  James has worked in the private equity and financial services sectors for over 10 years, where he has had the opportunity to advise and analyze businesses ranging from Fortune 10 to the lower middle market.  Prior to AVC, James served as an investment professional with private equity fund Fenway Partners focusing on the consumer products and transportation verticals.  Prior to Fenway Partners, he worked in the investment banking divisions of both Goldman Sachs and UBS Investment Bank.  He earned his BA from GeorgetownUniversity in Government.
